Carlsbad Brewfest – Sept. 10.

North County Coastal is a beer lover’s home for hops during the Carlsbad Brew Fest.This is a great event to taste different brewed beer and to meet people that appreciate a good beer!  Attendees receive a tasting cup and unlimited samples from over 68 top brews. 12-4:30 p.m. $50/pp. Holiday Park, 3400 Pio Pico Dr., Carlsbad.

Cardiff Greek Festival – Sept. 10-11.

Another North Coastal favorite is to Feast on authentic Greek food and heavenly pastries while watching award-winning Greek folk dance performances. Camilo Restrepo at Lux Art Institute – Sept. 10-Oct. 29.

Lux Art Institute welcomes Colombian artist, Camilo Restrepo, as the first artist in residence during the 2016-2017 season. Restrepo will work on two separate pieces, created from collected newspaper clippings and drawings from his personal sketches.Visitors to the institute will get to see the artistic process firsthand in Lux’s unique working studio environment. 1550 S. I have included all things North Coastal San Diego up until this last event which will be taking place downtown. I feel it only appropriate to include during this weekend round up of events. In honor of all those who lost their lives on September 11th 2001. A day our country will never forget, we are coming upon the 15th anniversary of that tragic day…




San Diego 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb

Sept. 10. 1,200 participants join to honor the heroes among us for the sixth annual San Diego Stair Climb. Each climber selects a hero who was lost in the events of September 11, 2001, and climbs a total of 110 flights of stairs at Hilton San Diego Bayfront. Tickets for the event are sold out, but spectators can still join as the touching event concludes with a food truck festival, beer garden and live music performances. 1 Park Blvd., downtown.
